Job summary

Overview

Alder Community High School is a popular, over-subscribed local authority maintained secondary school located in Gee Cross, Hyde in Greater Manchester. We are committed to providing high-quality education that inspires and challenges our students to achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Curriculum Leader of Computing.

As Curriculum Leader of Computing at Alder Community High School, you will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the Computing curriculum across all key stages. You will raise standards of pupil attainment and progress within Computing. You will promote high-quality teaching, learning, and enrichment opportunities in Computing as well as supporting, motivating, and developing staff within the department. The successful post holder will be required to deliver Computing at KS3 and Computer Science at KS4. The ability to deliver Creative iMedia would also be an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and develop the Computing curriculum across all key stages.
  • Raise standards of pupil attainment and progress within Computing.
  • Promote high-quality teaching, learning, and enrichment opportunities in Computing.
  • Support, motivate, and develop staff within the department.
  • Deliver Computing at KS3 and Computer Science at KS4; ability to deliver Creative iMedia would be an advantage.
