Job description
Role Overview

The successful candidate will be committed to giving our patients and referrers the very best quality of care and service. The CT scanning department currently has nine state‑of‑the‑art CT scanners, increasing to 11 with the planned opening of the UHNM CDC at the beginning of April 2026. We support a wide range of referrers, including the Level 1 Major Trauma Centre, vascular and neuro intervention, paediatric, musculoskeletal, and oncology services. Being part of the University Hospital of North Midlands provides an opportunity to contribute to the training of student radiographers on their clinical placement and to the preceptorship of CT radiographers on Band 5/6. Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and effectively run CT lists, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to for a safe and efficient patient environment.
  • Participate in the supervision of student radiographers and training of CT radiographers on Band 5/6 preceptorship.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all departments.
  • Be proactive and keen to fulfil the responsibilities of the Band 6 role as outlined in the job description.
