Overview

CS&A Engineer x3 – Warrington (Hybrid, 2-3 days from home). £30-70 per hour + overtime. 12 months initially or permanent. 1-stage interview (virtual). Mon-Fri.

Certain Advantage is collaborating with a key client to recruit Civil, Structural & Architectural (CS&A) Engineers at multiple levels to contribute to a large-scale project. This position calls for both strong technical capability and excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with the Integrated Design Team, facility stakeholders, and wider project functions.

Responsibilities
  • Producing CS&A design deliverables such as reports, calculations, assessments, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Reviewing and approving design documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality.
  • Applying specialist knowledge in the design of steel, concrete, and masonry structures, accounting for environmental loading and, where required, seismic performance.
  • Supporting project execution at all stages, including site-based activities and engagement with stakeholders.
  • Upholding CDM regulations and safety standards while fulfilling design responsibilities in a regulated environment.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent practical experience); Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
  • At least 3 years' experience in highly regulated industries (nuclear, defence, or comparable).
  • Strong technical expertise in structural design of steel and concrete to current industry standards.
  • Demonstrable experience preparing and verifying civil/structural documentation such as drawings, scopes, specifications, and method statements.
  • Excellent communicator who can work autonomously while collaborating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Interview preparation
  • Your track record of delivering CS&A designs within regulated projects.
  • Specific examples of reviewing, checking, and approving design outputs.
  • How you ensure compliance with CDM and safety regulations throughout the design process.
