The CRM Exec role is responsible for delivering the CRM strategy within a dynamic and growing business area from idea through to execution. Your focus will be working on core campaigns and trading activity – engaging our existing customer base with relevant brand messages, product offers and content.

We are passionate about technology, and as the eyes and ears of the customer our role is to champion customer insight across the business to deliver a customer centric CRM programme. As such you will work closely with Customer Data, Analytics & Insight teams as well as Agencies, Commercial Categories & Services teams. All core functions that go into creating hyper-targeted communication programmes to customers at every stage of their technology lifecycle.

Collaboration and being a competent, mindful team player is crucial for the role, as is being comfortable working across multiple workstreams and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to work in a fast-paced role within retail and who can bring a strong understanding of CRM and customer marketing to the role.

Personalisation is key in our CRM deployment, you will be using an AI-powered personalisation engine to deliver and optimise emails. You’ll work closely with Moveable Ink to build, test and adopt their tools and apps to elevate our communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting into the CRM Manager – the CRM Exec is accountable for managing the planning, building, scheduling, testing and deployment of all customer campaigns
  • Develop and maintain a content plan that is aligned to customer needs states, utilise existing content and work with the internal studio and content teams to develop new content as required
  • Track the weekly performance of campaign KPIs against the team targets and communicate the results to the wider CRM team and key internal stakeholders. Support the CRM manager in monthly reporting meetings
  • Ensure that the creative/positioning of communications is aligned with brand values
  • Owning a creative library of promotional and category led emails. Ensuring content is relevant and up-to-date, liaising with category stakeholders for new opportunities and ideas
  • Pro-active thinking on testing plans and gaps in creative within our creative library. Managing quarterly plans alongside CRM manager, ensuring deliverables are met and presenting plans to wider Marketing teams
  • Managing initiatives and projects outside of weekly BAU deployment, aimed at increasing CRM commercial performance and retention rates. Working with key stakeholders such as Data Planning, MarTech and studio to develop plans
  • Creating audience lists and chosen targeting for supplier-funded communications, supporting launches of products through email
  • Supporting CRM Manager on maintenance and strategy of behavioural trigger emails
Required Skills & Experience
  • At least 2+ years’ experience in CRM marketing, with a special focus on email campaigns (SMS and Direct Mail a bonus)
  • Experience working in fast paced environment is required
  • Experience in working with external agencies and suppliers
  • Experience of building and deploying email campaigns
  • Retail experience is preferred
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a ‘can do’ attitude to work
  • Great communication & organisational skills, with a strong focus on delivery & attention to detail
  • Ability to evaluate creative objectively, always championing the customer’s best interests
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • Experience working with Moveable Ink preferable
  • Marketing or business degree level qualification preferred but not essential
