A not-for-profit arts organisation is seeking critical friends for a voluntary advisory role to support the launch of a new five-year business plan. The role involves participating in three in-person meetings to critique and strengthen the strategy. Ideal candidates should have experience in leading arts organisations or possess skills in finance, marketing, or business development. Travel expenses will be covered, along with refreshments during meetings.

Made By Mortals(MBM) are looking forcritical friends to help support us with the launch of our new five-year business plan and strategy. We’re looking for people with expertise and a passion forsocial change through the arts.
MBM are a not-for-profit arts organisation based in Tameside, Greater Manchester. We‘bring lived experience to life’ through audio stories, film, music, theatre and interactive workshops. MBM co-produce this work with University researchers, partners who work in health and care, professional artists and diverse groups of people with a broad range of lived experience. Our mission is to empower people to use their creativity and lived experience to make lifehappier,healthier, andfairer for all.
MBM is at an exciting period of growth and will be launching ournew five-year business plan later in 2026. Paul and Andy, Directors of MBM, are looking for a small team of advisors to join atask and finish group that will help critique and strengthen test this strategy and plan prior to its implementation. The group will come together forthree in person meetings between April and July 2026. We are particularly interested in people who have experience of leading an arts organisation or have skills in finance, marketing or business development.
This is a voluntary role with travel expenses and lashings of tea, coffee and biscuits included! If you’re interested, please drop Paul or Andy an email before the end of February 2026, and we’ll meet for a chat to discuss further.
