Critical Care Nurse - Hammersmith Hospital

This exciting Band 6 opportunity will develop your leadership and management skills within our proactive multi-disciplinary team. We will offer you the following routes to develop within our teams. Main duties of the job

• To provide high quality, effective, individualised care to all patients that is compassionate and caring, to assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate them without supervision, to assist in leading and monitoring the performance of the nursing team and to deputise for the senior nurse when required.

Person Specification

Education

• NMC registered Nurse
• Teaching Qualification such as SSSA or Mentorship in Practice, or Equivalent experience
• 60 Credit Critical Care Course
• Leadership Qualification

Skills/ Knowledge/ Abilities

• Knowledge of speciality and ability to organize ward activities and to use initiative
• Ability to solve problems and contribute new ideas

• Competency in medication - administration including IV medications
