A mental health care provider in Rottingdean is looking for a Crisis Support, Time and Recovery Worker to join the West Neighbourhood Mental Health Team. This role focuses on providing preventive work to support service users and help avoid crisis or admission. Candidates should have experience working with mental health needs in the community, along with an NVQ 3 or equivalent. This position requires flexible work arrangements and the ability to engage with service users both in-person and remotely.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to support service users under the care of the West Neighbourhood Mental Health Team (previously known as the Assessment and Treatment Services) in Brighton and Hove as a Crisis Support, Time and Recovery Worker. The role has a specific remit to provide preventive work with service users under the NMHT to avoid crisis or admission and support transition back from the crisis team to the NMHT.
You will have experience of working in the community with people with mental health needs and co-existing difficulties. You will work autonomously but alongside the NMHT multi-disciplinary team to offer short-term flexible support as part of the service users crisis support plan and help them link in with other community crisis support offers where relevant. You will see people face to face in their homes, in community settings or at the team base as well as offering telephone and video support.
You will join a friendly and supportive team based at Mill View hospital and form close working realtionships with the Crisis Team based at Mill View.
