Criminal Solicitor - Dangerous Dog Offences

Location : Leeds City Centre

Salary : 35000 - 45000

Experience required : 2 Years PQE

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Criminal Solicitor to join a specialist Four Legs Law team focusing on dangerous dog offences and criminal defence matters.

Your key responsibilities will include :
  • Dangerous Dogs Act Cases:
    • Handling cases involving prohibited breeds
    • Managing dogs dangerously out-of-control cases
    • Providing expert legal representation for dog owners
    • Navigating complex Dangerous Dogs Act legislation
    • Developing strategic defence approaches
  • Criminal Defence Representation:
    • Representing clients at police stations
    • Appearing in Magistrates Court proceedings
    • Managing Crown Court cases
    • Providing comprehensive criminal defence services
    • Conducting thorough case preparation
  • Case Management:
    • Managing a varied caseload of criminal defence matters
    • Conducting detailed legal research
    • Preparing comprehensive case documentation
    • Liaising with clients witnesses and court officials
    • Ensuring compliance with legal procedures
  • Client Advisory Services:
    • Providing clear and strategic legal advice
    • Managing client expectations
    • Delivering customer-friendly service
    • Supporting clients through complex legal challenges
    • Maintaining high standards of client care
What Were Looking For

Essential Requirements :

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with :
    • 2 years post-qualification experience in criminal law
    • Strong criminal defence background
    • Excellent advocacy skills
    • Exceptional case management abilities
    • Proficient IT skills
    • Strong literacy and numeracy
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Ability to work accurately in accordance with team requirements
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Experience in Dangerous Dogs Act cases
