Job description
Key Responsibilities
  • To undertake the statutory functions and duties of a Police Custody and Security Officer, providing for the care, welfare, security and escort of persons in custody in accordance with standard operating procedures and relevant legislation; and where required undertake the role of Custody Officer.
  • To be responsible for the processing, procedures and security of all productions retained for possible use at court and to provide a custodier service in relation to lost, found and stolen property.
  • To support the administration of various criminal justice processes including the processing and maintenance of warrants and other legal documents; review and transmission of standard prosecution reports and other associated documents; and creation, maintenance and quality assurance of criminal justice records.
  • At designated locations, to support Local Policing by carrying out administrative functions associated with public counter services including the provision of advice, guidance and processing of police related queries.
  • A driving licence is desirable for this role.
