Job description

Key responsibilities of a Senior Credit Risk Analyst:

Responsibilities
  • Maintain complex customer and credit master data in S/4HANA (e.g., customer IDs, billing addresses, VAT IDs, payment terms, credit limits, risk categories).
  • Identify and link shared customers for a single customer view.
  • Assess credit risk for new/existing customers, setting group‑level credit limits (sign off in accordance with the GO policy).
  • Manage credit insurance for relevant entities.
  • Conduct periodic credit reviews, consolidating shared customer exposure across entities.
  • Produce and monitor Debt Analysis for the Collections Team, working closely with them, entity FDs, and Commercial teams on focus areas.
  • Communicate clearly to senior stakeholders and customers with confidence.
  • Present to superiors and non‑AR colleagues (e.g., IT Helpdesk, Wider Business).
  • Use previous experience & judgement when responding to customers and internal escalations professionally and promptly.
  • Share learning and support peers, working with collections, billing, customer services, transport and commercial to resolve issues.
  • Support analysts with non‑standard processes or escalations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in transitioning between sub‑teams as needed.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for new and existing process improvements and lead implementation where appropriate.
  • Take corrective action and identify solutions to any errors or mistakes.
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Excel and the ability to perform basic data analysis (e.g. Pivot, Filter, VLOOKUP).
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Word, ability to produce basic PowerPoint presentations.
  • Working knowledge of SAP (ECC6 or S/4) or equivalent ERP system preferred but not required.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills, with willingness to learn and improve mindset.
  • Nice to have: working knowledge of credit limits and risk categories and how they function in an ERP.

Additional Information

The Analyst contributes to all phases of the project cycle, including project origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring. The Analyst will take responsibility for the tasks assigned to them by the operation leader or more senior staff.
