A well-established construction business is seeking an experienced Credit Manager in Knowsley. This role offers full autonomy to manage and develop a credit control team, implementing best practices and aligning credit policies with business goals. You'll join a collaborative finance team and work closely with sales and operations to align credit practices with business goals. The credit control department currently has two team members ready to develop under your leadership.
You'll manage and develop the credit control team, implement structure, and drive best practices.
Key responsibilities include credit risk assessment, negotiating credit insurance policies, liaising with solicitors, and monitoring overdue accounts.
You'll also shape policies, processes, and reporting-this is a hands-on role with full autonomy and the backing of senior leadership.
You’ll thrive in this role if you have proven experience as a Credit Manager and ideally some exposure to the construction sector.
A strong understanding of legal and court processes is essential, along with excellent communication skills and proficiency in Excel. You should be proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in leading and developing a team.
