About Our Client

The Credit Controller will be responsible for managing and chasing outstanding debts, resolving payment issues, and maintaining positive relationships with customers. You'll play a crucial role in safeguarding the company's financial health by minimising bad debt.

Job Description

  • Monitor and manage customer accounts to ensure timely payments
  • Chase overdue invoices through calls, emails, and letters
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve payment disputes promptly
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to resolve issues
  • Prepare reports on debtor status and payment trends for management
  • Perform credit checks and assist with setting credit limits

The Successful Applicant

A successful Credit Controller should have:

  • Previous experience as a Credit Controller or in a similar finance role
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero)
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Positive, proactive attitude and a team player
