The postholder will provide direct clinical input at Wetherby YOI and offer consultation to two secure childrens homes within the wider secure estate. The role requires close liaison with multi-disciplinary professionals across health, education, social care, and custodial services. You will be working within a supportive multidisciplinary team including Speech and Language Therapists, Psychology, Psychiatry, Mental Health Practitioners and Social Work colleagues.

The post holder will provide specialist psychotherapy skills within a multidisciplinary team and will deliver a high quality clinical service to the users of the service. They will provide highly specialist assessment and intervention while working collaboratively with non-psychology and psychotherapy professionals from other agencies and carers. They will be clinically responsible to a senior clinical psychologist or psychotherapist, with oversight from the clinical lead. The post holder will work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team, observing Trust and National policies and procedures. They will utilise research skills in audit, service development and research relevant to the post. The role includes training, reflection, formulation, consultation and supervision within a developmentally and trauma-informed framework at HMYOI Wetherby.
The post-holder will be required to work flexibly in terms of base and hours of clinical availability.
