Job description
Overview

Join the Glasgow Barons as Creative Producer, managing events, musicians, and community projects while supporting our mission to bring high-quality, inclusive music-making to Govan and beyond.

Named after the shipbuilding barons, Govan’s orchestra revitalises local venues and makes music with the area’s diverse communities. Since our first concert in Govan Old Parish Church in 2017, we have worked closely with local groups and agencies to build a new story for Govan as a thriving arts hub, community music centre, and regeneration orchestra. Our asylum‑seeking and refugee ensemble, Musicians in Exile, is celebrated for bringing people together to share new stories of Scotland’s new Scots. We are proud winners of the 2019 National Diversity Award for Race, Religion and Faith, and finalists for the 2020 Scottish Community Business and Creative Regeneration awards.
