We’re looking for someone who is interested in teaching but does not hold a teaching qualification and who wants to gain classroom experience. This role is suitable for anyone who wishes to work in an educational environment with young people, is looking to develop a career, or requires school‑based experience before pursuing a teaching qualification.

The ideal candidate will have an active interest in helping young people achieve and be capable of supervising classes during the short‑term absence of teachers. Key attributes include a good sense of humour, a calm and caring manner, and the ability to work independently on a short‑term basis.

The successful candidate will:
  • Be committed to supporting all pupils to achieve their “Personal Best”
  • Maintain and model high expectations
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be forward thinking, receptive to change and able to work under pressure
  • Have proven literacy and numeracy skills (equivalent to at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English)
