Overview

Are you adaptable, patient, and empathetic with experience working with young people? Do you want to play a vital role in supporting learning and maintaining high standards in the classroom? If so, we'd love you to join us at Lift Tendring.

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll:

  • Deliver prepared lesson materials in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Maintain a calm, purposeful learning environment in line with our behaviour policy.
  • Support students with their work, including those with SEND, liaising with the SENDCO and form tutors where needed.
  • Take on wider academy duties, such as supervising students at break and lunchtimes.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and resilience.
