Job summary

The ideal Cover Supervisor will have strong behaviour management experience and an understanding of a variety of subjects taught at the secondary level.

What you'll be doing as a Cover Supervisor
  • Preparing the classroom for lessons and delivering a variety of work prepared by the absent class teacher
  • Maintain classroom control
  • Engage learners with both classroom and lab-based activities
  • Be flexible, think on your feet and show an enthusiasm for a variety of subjects
  • Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies
What you'll need to be successful as a Cover Supervisor
  • At least 3 months of experience working with children
  • Ideally, be educated to a degree level
  • References covering the last two years
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
