Cover Supervisor - Secondary School, Preston


Salary: £89.95 - £110 per day


Contract: Full-time / Part-time, Term-time only


Location: Preston



The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team at a thriving secondary school in Preston. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and supporting their learning in the classroom.




  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of the class teacher.

  • Deliver pre-prepared work to students and ensure lessons run smoothly.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Support students to engage positively with their learning.

  • Provide assistance with administrative tasks when required.



About You


  • Confident, resilient, and able to engage with young people.

  • Able to manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment.

  • Flexible, well-organised, and able to use their initiative.

  • Ideally experienced working with young people in an educational setting (though training will be provided).

  • This role would suit someone considering a career in teaching or looking to gain further experience in education.
