Zest Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and well‑regarded secondary school in Stoke‑on‑Trent to recruit a full‑time Cover Supervisor, starting January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher, recent graduate, or experienced Cover Supervisor who is passionate about supporting young people and gaining hands‑on classroom experience.

The Role:
  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Ensure students remain on task and engaged with their learning
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes
  • Support the school's positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Has experience working with young people (schools, tutoring, youth work, or similar)
  • Is confident managing a classroom and communicating clearly
  • Holds strong organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Is reliable, flexible, and enthusiastic about education
  • Previous Cover Supervisor experience is desirable but not essential
