Overview

The Best Connection has a client that is looking for a Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join its team in Coulsdon.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 16.30pm

Paying: £14.15ph plus holiday pay

Responsibilities
  • The Counterbalance Forklift Driver is responsible for effective stock maintenance of incoming and outgoing stock, complying with the company\'s health and safety regulations while providing high standards of customer service.
  • The use of Mechanical Handling Equipment and some manual lifting will be involved; you will need the ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism towards safety.
  • Unload and check the accuracy of all incoming stock deliveries in line with Health & Safety offloading procedures and company policy
  • Carry out daily checks on the forklift truck and other mechanical equipment, reporting all defects to the Depot Manager
  • Maintain a high level of stock security and carry out the required security checks on all outgoing orders and deliveries
  • Deal with returns from customers in a courteous, professional and knowledgeable way
  • Carry out daily/weekly stock checks according to procedure, ensuring an accurate computer stock file
  • Understand and comply with company policy regarding damage controls and replacement part ordering
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties within the warehouse, stock rotation and product group, cleanliness and tidiness
  • Participate as an effective and willing team member to achieve individual and team goals
  • Ensure a safe and comfortable environment is maintained for customers and employees within the depot
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Regulations whilst in the depot
  • This is not intended to be an exhaustive list of responsibilities, but outlines the salient points of the role.
  • Please ensure you have safety boots and Hi-Vis
