Overview

Core Subjects Tutor Opportunity - 1:1, Leicester

Responsibilities

• Deliver bespoke 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and Science to secondary-aged learners who are currently without a school placement.


• Plan and deliver tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 education and boost engagement and attainment levels.


• Support disengaged, at-risk and vulnerable learners with a creative, flexible and holistic approach to raise attainment and improve their educational journey.

Contract/Position Details

• Location - Within the community or pupils home


• Position - English, Maths and Science Tutor


• Type of work - Contract


• Start date - ASAP


• Duration - Until the pupil can reintegrate into a new school placement


• End date (if applicable) - Ongoing


• Contract type - Temporary


• Full-time/part-time - Part time (15 hours per week, per student)


• Minimum rate of pay - GBP22+ per hour


• Hours - Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family

Experience, Training and Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent


• Possess UK classroom teaching experience


• Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box


• Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils

Eligibility

• Hold the right to work in the UK


• Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application


• Provide two professional child-related references
