Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to coordinate tobacco-related initiatives including prevention, cessation, enforcement, control, and integration as well as supervise support staff. This position will also plan, develop, implement, promote and evaluate health education programs and community health activities designed to further public awareness and influence health status, particularly regarding tobacco/nicotine use and associated health outcomes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Experience: One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.

Notes:

  • 1. Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • 2. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
