Cook to work in a Community Cafe. To prepare and cook a range of meals, snacks, and specials for customers, ensuring food is of a high quality, served safely, and reflects the welcoming, community-focused ethos of the cafe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare, cook, and present food to agreed standards.
  • Maintain excellent food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in line with current legislation.
  • Follow set menus and contribute ideas for new dishes and specials.
  • Manage stock, rotate ingredients, and minimise food waste.
  • Work with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
  • Ensure allergen and dietary requirements are met safely.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment (desirable).
  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 Food Hygiene preferred).
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
  • Team player with good communication skills.
