About the Role

• Cook – 37 hours per week
• Cook – 30 hours per week

Both posts include weekends and Bank Holidays in accordance with the needs of the service.

Locations : Cherry Trees (Chippenham Road, Bestwood Park Estate, Nottingham, NG5 5TA) and The Oaks (St Anns, Nottingham, NG3 1GZ)

To provide a flexible, culturally appropriate catering service to meet the needs of citizens, staff, and visitors.

To manage catering staff rotas and provide well-presented nutritious meals. This includes menu planning, food ordering, and managing the food budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan menus and arrange food purchasing within the budget.
• Prepare, cook, and serve meals, ensuring quality, quantity, and presentation.
• Take action on client feedback or complaints.
• Delegate and supervise assistant cooks / kitchen domestics.
• Maintain hygiene standards and follow Assured Safe Catering procedures.
• Maintain cleaning schedules and check deliveries.
• Complete necessary records and manage stock control.
• Report equipment defects.
• Work across Adult Provision sites as required.
• Able to travel and be available for work 7 days a week, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Undertake and achieve a satisfactory DBS check.
