Conveyancer

We are looking to recruit a Conveyancer to join our team in Manchester. This role is suitable for someone with experience working in a conveyancing environment, handling their own caseload or managing a team of case handlers.

Key Responsibilities of a Conveyancer
  • Carry out all legal aspects of residential property transactions, ensuring due diligence in processing leaseholds, freeholds, registered, and unregistered properties.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to team members as needed.
  • Support the Team Manager in various tasks.
  • Assess risk on transactions and provide appropriate legal advice.
  • Review files prior to exchange of contracts for accuracy.
  • Perform tasks proactively and prioritize effectively, supporting team members.
  • Communicate effectively and implement company policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience
  • Qualified with a Law Degree, LPC, Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or Legal Executive (FCILEX).
  • Experienced in managing a conveyancing caseload across various transaction types, including complex legal matters.
  • Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail is essential.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Case Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred but not mandatory.
