Job summary

A chemical manufacturing company in West Bromwich is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to enhance their team. In this long-term role, you will design and install control systems while reviewing change management proposals and troubleshooting failures. Candidates should have an HNC in Controls/Electronic Engineering and proficiency in Allen Bradley systems and AutoCAD. Qualifications

  • Experience working within a chemical manufacturing plant.
  • Understanding of SIL, LOPA, and Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Previous instrumentation engineering experience is advantageous.

Control Systems Engineer - West Bromwich

Do you have experience working within a chemical manufacturing plant? Are you looking for a long-term role with clear paths for progression? Then this chemical company looking to add a Control Systems Engineer to the team is looking for you!

Your duties as a Control Systems Engineer include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design, specification and installation of control and safety systems.
  • Review and approval of change management proposals and any subsequent modification of control systems.
  • Identify and repair any control system failures.
  • Assist with the development and training of department resources.
Requirements
  • HNC in Controls/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Proficient in Allen Bradley control systems and AutoCAD.
  • Solid understanding of the design of functional safety, SIL, LOPA and Safety Instrumented Systems.
  • Understanding of chemical manufacturing and ATEX preferred.
  • Previous instrumentation engineering experience would be highly advantageous.
