Control Room Manager

We are recruiting a Control Room Manager for our client a leading security services specialist. In this exciting opportunity the successful candidate will lead the launch of a brand-new, state-of-the-art security control room at one of London’s most prestigious iconic multi-purpose destinations.

The Control Room Manager will be responsible for the CCTV, alarms, incident response, and 24 / 7 security operations across a high-profile estate. This role offers a rare opportunity to build a control room operation from the ground up, shaping policies, technology, team culture, to lead, train, and develop a high-performing team while working closely with emergency services and senior stakeholders. Responsibilities
  • Lead the launch of a brand-new, state-of-the-art security control room at one of London’s most prestigious iconic multi-purpose destinations, and oversee CCTV, alarms, incident response, and 24/7 security operations across a high-profile estate.
  • Shape policies, technology, and team culture; lead, train, and develop a high-performing team while working closely with emergency services and senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operational standards; incident detection, assessment, and reporting; and 24/7 operating oversight.
  • Rostering, resource planning, and shift management; use of IT and security management software (MS Office, security monitoring platforms).
Qualifications and experience
  • Skills — Leadership and team management, including shift supervision and performance reviews; crisis management and emergency response coordination; incident detection, assessment, and reporting; training design and delivery for security and control room personnel; proficiency in security systems management: CCTV, access control, alarm panels; effective communication with internal teams, senior stakeholders, and external agencies; analytical and decision-making skills under pressure; rostering, resource planning, and shift management; use of IT and security management software (MS Office, security monitoring platforms).
  • Knowledge — Security control room operations and best practice frameworks; emergency planning, crisis response, and business continuity principles; CCTV, fire alarm, and access control systems; security reporting standards, GDPR, and data protection compliance; regulatory and legal compliance requirements relevant to high-profile estates; industry trends in security technology and control room operations; multi-agency coordination (police, fire, emergency services); high-risk environment operational protocols.
  • Experience — Managing a security control room in a high-risk, fast-paced environment; leading incident management, crisis response, and emergency planning exercises; designing, implementing, and maintaining control room policies and procedures; recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing security team; oversight of 24 / 7 security monitoring operations; writing comprehensive security reports, procedural documentation, and business cases; working with IT / technical teams to maintain operational security systems; direct collaboration with law enforcement, emergency services, and senior stakeholders.
