A leading engineering consultancy in Stockport is seeking a Control and Instrumentation Systems Engineer to support online monitoring systems and conduct testing across the UK. DNVs Markets & Risk department combines multidisciplinary experts from oil & gas power and renewable energy backgrounds to support businesses through their Energy Transition journey. Within this our Sustainability & Asset Resilience section consists of around 30 specialists working in areas such as data analytics functional safety management of rotating machinery and emissions monitoring.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to join our diverse and expanding team of specialists. Our dedicated Rotating Machinery Solutions (RMS) team delivers a range of products and services designed to support customers in the operation and protection of their rotating assets.
Our team specialises in assets and equipment such as gas turbines compressors pumps and steam turbines primarily for oil and gas and power generation applications.
Based in our Stockport office youll be involved in meaningful work from day one. Youll contribute to a variety of client projects while gaining hands‑on experience in machinery condition monitoring emissions reporting and reliability tracking. Along the way youll deepen your understanding of our customers and the challenges they face as they strive to make the industry safer and more sustainable.
As a Control and Instrumentation Systems Engineer you will support our in‑house developed online monitoring systems. These systems perform remote condition monitoring by gathering real‑time data from machinery control systems and data historians. This data enables our engineers to troubleshoot issues generate reliability reports and monitor equipment emissions.
We manage several long‑term contracts that involve reporting emissions in line with government permits and tracking equipment performance KPIs. Your role may also involve short site visits across the UK to conduct testing installation and commissioning of condition and emission monitoring systems.
