Recruitment Consultant - Social Housing & Operational Support

MMP Consultancy are working with a fantastic organisation to recruit a Contracts Officer to join them on a temporary basis in South East London.

Key Responsibilities
  • To co-ordinate the day to day running of the contract, encompassing the planning of works and managing the performance and delivery to the required contract specification.
  • Assisting the Senior Contract Manager where necessary to deliver the requirements of the Contract.
  • Have a focus on safety first with all risks identified immediately escalated to the Senior Contract Manager.
  • Provide regular updates and support to Senior Contract Manager on contracts outcomes against programme.
  • Undertake regular audit of contract related information.
  • Collate, analyse, monitor and report on KPIs within the contractual frameworks.
  • Provide financial Monitoring support and analysis to Senior Contract manager.
  • Regular monitoring of CRM Task Management.
  • Monitor and report on contract management meeting actions.
  • Take on specific projects as required.
  • Support delivery teams in responding to written and phone enquires and update CRM as necessary.
  • Processing works orders, completions, process for payments or inspection requests in accordance with the policies and procedures and respond to general queries relating to proposed and confirmed works.
  • Assist in the provision of information for the database for Stock Condition, Asbestos, Fire Risk Assessment and any other areas as required.
  • Carry out other support tasks such as word processing, processing correspondence, specifications and providing general support to the Property Team.
  • Manage a budget of £150K per contract and works associated with it.
  • Undertake any other duties to meet the requirements of the role.
Requirements
  • Proven project management or contract experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of using a variety of JCT and partnering contracts.
  • Ability to communicate and influence contractors, colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • Proven influencing and negotiating skills to resolve problems.
  • Sound judgement and prioritisation skills.
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines, under pressure and deliver projects on time, within budget and to the required standard.
  • Experience of dealing effectively with customer complaints and able to demonstrate an understanding of what provides excellent customer service.

MMP Consultancy are looking to recruit a Tenancy Sustainment Officer on a Permanent basis, based in Kent.

Salary: £34,714 Per Annum

Main Responsibilities
  • To improve residents lives by giving holistic person-centred support, establishing a positive working relationship with residents to assist them in reaching their aims, maintaining tenancies and developing independent living skills.
  • Manage a caseload of residents, understanding their support needs through conducting interviews and undertaking regular visits to their homes or other places where the resident feels comfortable and continuing meaningful contact.
  • Responsible for the immediate support needs of residents as appropriate, including crisis intervention.
  • Ensure residents are supported and coached to apply for a range of benefits and other funding available, and to appeal unsuccessful decisions.
  • Negotiate with statutory and non-statutory/voluntary agencies, where appropriate, to agree their participation in supporting the individual.
  • Create positive working relationships and motivational support plans using best practice interventions (e.g. outcomes stars, strengths based practice).
  • Work collaboratively with the tenancy services, allocations, community safety, financial inclusion, income, employment, and other teams to ensure that residents receive a full range of support.
  • Lead on a specialist area e.g. mental health, hoarding, domestic abuse, young people, substance misuse, working with non-engagers etc, attend forums and training to underpin your knowledge and share this with the wider organisation.
  • To have detailed, updated knowledge of services available relating to your area of specialism and form close working partnerships with the relevant providers.
  • Take responsibility for residents where your specialism is appropriate.
  • Responsible for meeting KPI's.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and accurate information on databases, comply with GDPR and provide regular reports, case studies and blogs.
  • Support colleagues and peers and engage in peer supervision of case.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of providing support across a range of areas to vulnerable individuals.
  • Proven knowledge of best practice, guidance and legislation relating to tenancy sustainment issues such as poor mental health, financial support, tenancy law, substance misuse, and the statutory and voluntary sector support available. Also proven expertise/experience in at least one area of these.
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience of the welfare benefits system, appeals, and ensuring that residents are supported to access statutory and non-statutory funding.
  • Experience of providing outcome-focussed, person-centred support, ideally using strengths-based practice.
  • Demonstrable working knowledge of and a commitment to diversity and equality.
  • Knowledge of Adult Safeguarding and Child Protection Protocols.
  • Ability to manage lone working risks and comply with lone working systems.
  • Experience of working with project plans.
  • Support post-mobilisation reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future processes.
