A leading property maintenance company in South Brent is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee site teams delivering retrofit works. This role involves managing project contracts, ensuring quality and safety standards are met, and engaging with clients effectively. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of social housing works, holds relevant certifications, and brings strong leadership skills. Location: South Brent office, covering South West & South Central locations – Typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours
As a Contracts Manager for Novus, you’ll get to see the impact and improvements your role delivers to your customers and team every day – taking your job satisfaction to whole new levels. With responsibility for successfully leading a small team of Site Managers delivering Retrofit works including solar panels, ventilation measures, insulation, windows, doors & roofing in a social housing setting. Ensuring contracts are completed to programme, with zero defects, within budget and with no risk to health & safety of the operation team, the client or the public. The successful candidate will be client facing and have extensive knowledge of retrofit & planned works within a social housing environment including working knowledge of PAS 2030 & 2035 and all related documentation.
Along with utilising your contracts management skills, you’ll also be looking for ways to add real social value to the communities and customers you work with. Supported by your peers, team and management to solve problems and trusted to make decisions to grow and develop relationships and revenue.
As an experienced Contracts Manager you will have worked within a planned and retrofit works contract including both internal and external works, within a social housing environment. Ideally you will hold SMSTS, First Aid or an associated NVQ; if this has expired we will support you to renew – it’s the knowledge and skills that go with the qualification that’s essential to us. Knowledge of PAS 2030 & 2035 is essential to the role. The preferred candidate will be experienced, knowledgeable, a self‑starter who is focused on delivery and able to communicate well with the team to ensure everyday runs smoothly. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence to travel to sites daily and the role will require a DBS check.
