Contract Research & Development Engineer

9-12 month contract

Immediate start available

We are seeking a talented Contract Research & Development Engineer (R&D Engineer) to undertake a key project focussed role as part of a leading Engineering team. You will play a key role in the development and testing of a next-generation electrochemical sensor, designed for integration into a new product range.

About the Role

In this hands‑on position, you will be responsible for building, testing, and validating the performance of electrochemical sensors. You’ll work with cutting‑edge electrochemistry equipment, gas delivery systems, and engage in iterative product development—contributing to root‑cause analysis, failure investigation, and design refinement.

While the primary focus will be on supporting our sensor NPI (New Product Introduction) project, you’ll also have opportunities to contribute to wider sensor design improvements and equipment testing across the department.

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has strong experience in developing, testing, and validating electrochemical sensors
  • A degree in analytical chemistry/science/engineering or similar.
  • Familiar with electrochemistry laboratory equipment including potentiostats
  • Enjoys problem‑solving and continuous improvement in a technical environment
  • Thrives in an innovative R&D setting and can support multiple development activities where needed

If you’re excited by the opportunity to shape the next generation of sensor technology and want to join a forward‑thinking engineering team, we’d love to hear from you.
