Job description
Overview

We are currently recruiting for two permanent, full-time Contracts Managers and one 12-month fixed-term contract to shape the contracting approach to our LionLink Offshore Hybrid Asset project and the Future of IFA Project. As a Contract Manager you’ll be advising various teams on best practice in Contract Management. You will also support the development of our contract management maturity as we look to improve how we manage our supply chain across our portfolio, this will involve working on inter-team and business improvement projects as part of your day-to-day role. This role comes with direct line management as you will have a team of 1-2 Quantity Surveyors who are each supported by their own teams of Contract Analysts and Administrators. If you have working knowledge of standard form contracts (NEC, FIDIC and Bespoke) and also experience of leading others working in contract management within a construction or operational environment previously we would love to hear from you! This role is hybrid and you can enjoy working from our office in Warwick or London and home; travel to sites will be required, so you must have a full UK driving licence.

What you\'ll do
  • Lead a team of quantity surveyors and contract analysts to deliver the supply chain approach and requirements
  • Own the business process for the creation and management of budgets, cost control and financial governance
  • Provide challenge and review of cost performance in identified strategic projects prior to contract award
  • Ensure contract compliance and lead in providing quality assurance of contract performance
  • Lead independent reviews and advice on complex variations and compensation events and support escalation and dispute avoidance/resolution
  • Drive the development of reporting that informs business decision making
  • You will ideally have experience of cost analysis, programme evaluation, monitoring cost performance, and analysing and negotiating complex contracts, compensation events and variations
  • You will have the ability to prepare reports and collate information and present this concisely for a range of stakeholders including senior leadership
  • 5 years minimum experience in quantity surveying, contract or commercial management
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Degree educated in quantity surveying, construction management or construction law (strongly desirable)

Salary and benefits

A competitive salary between £59,000 - £72,000 per annum depending on capability. In addition to base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a contributory pension scheme with employer contributions up to 12%. You will also have access to flexible benefits such as a share incentive plan, salary sacrifice car and technology schemes, employee assistance lines, and matched charity giving.
