Job description
Overview

We are seeking a Sales Account Manager for nVent Data Solutions, focused on High Density Liquid Cooling (RDHX, CDU, Manifold) and intelligent PDU solutions for the Data Center market. You will engage with End Users, Hyperscalers, MTDCs, Consultants, Contractors, and VARs across the UK & Ireland. The role requires regular field visits, approximately 50% travel within UK&I and occasional travel to other European countries. A valid driver's license is required. The position supports solution design, quoting, and implementation with an experienced technical team.

Ideal candidates will be located near Greater London to facilitate access to key decision-makers in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan for HDLC and iPDU solutions in the UK & Ireland market.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with end customers and channel partners; create and manage a balanced pipeline of prospects and sales leads through Salesforce CRM.
  • Provide technical consultation and solutions design for complex cooling requirements; collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive data center solutions.
  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge of liquid cooling technologies to address customer challenges.
  • Achieve defined sales targets and KPIs for opportunity pipeline, lead generation, new business development, and revenue goals.
  • Represent nVent at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings; monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful solution deployment and implementation support.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Mechanical / HVAC) or a business degree, or equivalent experience in a technical environment.
  • Ideally 5+ years of proven sales experience in data centers, with prior experience in data center cooling technologies, particularly liquid cooling solutions.
  • Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling technical solutions to multiple customer types.
  • In-depth understanding of data center infrastructure, especially High Density Liquid Cooling technologies and applications (RDHX, CDU, Manifold, iPDU, thermal management).
  • Understanding of air and liquid cooling principles, and of hyperscaler, colocation, and enterprise data center requirements.
  • Knowledge of DC power systems and their integration with cooling solutions; familiarity with European DC trends; knowledge of energy efficiency metrics and sustainability considerations in cooling.
  • Excellent written and spoken English with strong presentation and negotiation abilities for technical and executive-level discussions.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships in assigned accounts to assess trends and translate them into opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com or similar CRM systems; project management skills to coordinate complex solution deployments.
  • Innovative, adaptable, dedicated to integrity, customer-focused, and team-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
