Job description
Overview

We are looking to recruit an IT Technician to support our schools in the Epsom / Ewell area. The successful candidate will work with our IT teams across Surrey and Oxfordshire, aligning with the Trust IT team, Service Delivery Manager and Head of Operations. The role provides first- and second-line IT support for a range of systems and users, and will contribute to delivering IT services that support teaching and learning. This role is based at Glyn School and Cuddington Croft Primary School, with occasional visits to other GLF schools in the Epsom & Ewell region. Attendance at IT team training events at scheduled dates at the GLF Trust offices (Earlsfield Banstead) is required. A full UK driving license is beneficial but not required if travel can be arranged.

This is an exciting role with a varied work stream. We seek an intelligent and enthusiastic person who can think creatively to solve issues independently, while also working effectively with wider IT and school teams.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first- and second-line IT support for hardware and software across multiple schools.
  • Install, configure and deploy hardware and software, and troubleshoot issues affecting IT services.
  • Collaborate with school staff, the Trust IT team and Service Delivery Manager to ensure IT services support teaching and learning.
  • Travel to Glyn School, Cuddington Croft Primary School, and other GLF schools in the Epsom & Ewell region as required.
  • Attend IT team training events at scheduled dates (GLF Trust offices, Earlsfield Banstead).
