A leading healthcare trust in Greater London is seeking a dedicated consultant in vascular surgery. The role involves performing open and endovascular surgeries, maintaining outpatient clinics, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must possess GMC registration and relevant experience in vascular procedures. You'll benefit from extensive training opportunities and competitive salary based on your experience.
The post is based within the internationally recognised centre for vascular surgery at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The Unit was formed by the merger of the two regional units based at St Mary's and Charing Cross Hospitals and has combined their high-profile international reputations in areas such as open and complex endovascular treatment, leading multi-centre clinical trials and repairing thoracoabdominal aneurysms using techniques such as left heart bypass and full motor and sensory spinal monitoring. The service also supports the Major Trauma Centre as well as being a regional out of hours tertiary referral centre. The unit has and is shaping current and future clinical practice including the pioneering use of endo-robotic surgery for aortic, carotid and peripheral vascular interventions, which is a UK first. The Unit has performed the largest number of robot-assisted interventions worldwide and is the primary centre for education, training and adoption of this technology.

The appointee will need to fulfil the activities as detailed in the approved job plan.
The postholder will be required to develop key working relationships with a wide-range of stakeholders both within the service and the wider Trust. The postholder will need to work alongside their fellow consultants, doctors in training, and the nursing and managerial staff all of whom will support the postholder throughout their time in the role.
The postholder will also need to develop close relationships with anaesthetists, Interventional Radiology, ITU staff, Cardiology and Cardiac surgery, Renal physicians, Neurologists and Neurosurgeons, Nursing, Professional and Technical Staff.

Depending on experience£109,725 to £145,478 per annum WTE
