A healthcare organization is seeking a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant Secretary to provide essential secretarial support to medical teams at Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth Hospital. An exciting opportunity for a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant Secretary to join the Trauma and Orthopaedics Directorate at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD). The Trauma and Orthopaedics service is large and well established. Trauma and paediatric orthopaedic surgery is currently undertaken on the Poole site, which houses Europe’s largest fragility fracture centre with over 1200 patients attending per year for Neck of Femur surgery and a trauma bed base of over 100 beds.
Reporting to the Rota and Staffing Manager, the role comprises providing a full and comprehensive secretarial service to the trauma and orthopaedic consultants and their medical teams.
Base Location: Poole Hospital and Royal Bournemouth Hospital (cross-site working will be part of the transformation of the department).

Poole site will move to RBH as part of a site swap. Please note that if the role or service relocates as part of a planned move, employees will not be eligible for excess mileage reimbursement. Travel from the postholder's home to the new work base will be considered a normal commute. Any other changes not related to this relocation will be managed according to the relevant Trust or National terms and conditions.
