Job description
Overview

CNWL are currently looking for an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to provide medical leadership in developing and managing the Kensington & Chelsea Psychotherapy service on a fixed-term Contract as Maternity cover.

The post-holder will work within the Kensington & Chelsea community mental health teams (Hubs) to inform overall treatments, and to provide specialist psychological therapies assessments and treatment as part of integrated care pathways. The post-holder will also be working closely with Complex Emotional Needs (CEN) Clinical Lead and Art Therapists to provide specialist psychotherapy interventions.

This post is an established part time (8 sessions) post due, and is based at Hathaway House, London, W9 2BA, To provide specialised psychological therapies assessments and treatments in secondary care services as part of integrated care pathways, provide medical leadership in developing and managing the psychotherapy service, specialist supervision of psychotherapy treatments and fulfil the training responsibilities of the Trust for psychiatric trainees, medical students and other mental healthprofessionals.

These are based at:o St Charles Hospital with 8 inpatient wards; two adult PICUs, 4 adult acute wards and two Older Adult wardso South Kensington and Chelsea Mental Health Centre, next to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital with the liaison service, health psychology, therapies team, memory service, older and younger adult psychiatric liaison serviceso Community team bases for adult Mental Health Hubs and Psychology and Psychotherapy serviceso KCW Early Intervention Service at Hathaway Houseo Home Treatment Team (HTT)o Mental Health Act Team (AMHP Team)o Psychology and Psychotherapy Services including Clinical Psychologists embedded in the CMHTs and inpatient unit, Arts Psychotherapy, and other specialist family and individual psychotherapies o FOCUS Team (community
forensic service) at Hathaway House

o in health and social care settings for all ages.

£109,725 to £145,478 a year plus £2162 London weighting allowance, per annum pro rata
