A mental health service provider in Birmingham seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to join their CAMHS Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team. You will lead psychiatric assessment and treatment for young people, collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team, and support junior clinicians. Ideal candidates will have full GMC registration, experience in CAMHS, and excellent communication skills, contributing to enhancing mental health services in the community.
We are seeking an inspiring, compassionate and accomplished Consultant Psychiatrist to join our supportive CAMHS Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team (CRHTT) working with children and young people aged 0-18. Based at Parkview Clinic, Moseley, you will lead psychiatric assessment and treatment for young people with acute mental health needs, conduct assessments, develop risk management plans, and initiate interventions prioritising safety and wellbeing.
We are looking for a dedicated and qualified professional with full GMC registration (with a licence to practise) and a medical degree such as an MBBS or equivalent. You will be on the specialist register (CCT / CESR) and hold both Section 12 and Approved Clinician status. With a strong foundation in mental health diagnosis and psychiatry, you will ideally bring experience in CAMHS or CAMHS learning disability services. As a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych) or equivalent, you will also be a clear communicator, a positive role model, and a team player who thrives in multidisciplinary settings.
