Overview

Consultant in Gynaecology (Benign) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).

Applications are invited for a Consultant in Gynaecology (Benign) at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (CUH).

This post is designed to provide high-quality clinical care to patients presenting with problems relating to Reproductive Medicine and out-patient Gynaecology, as part of a team of Consultants.

Main duties

The key role of this post is the provision and development of the out-patient Gynaecology Service and Paediatric Adolescent Gynaecology Service. The aim is to provide a high quality one stop ambulatory gynaecology service and to lead the Paediatric & Adolescent Gynaecology Service.

You will be fully registered with the GMC and ideally have a CCT in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or be within six months of award of CCT at the time of interview. Applications are welcomed from those unable to work full time for personal reasons or those wishing to job-share.

About us

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC's Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
