An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time (7 PA's) Consultant General Paediatricians to join our Weston-based team at UHBW. We are seeking enthusiastic, passionate and dynamic individuals who will enhance our established team of Consultant Paediatricians. You will take part in the general workload of the department and play a vital role in the delivery of healthcare for Children and Young People across North Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We are looking for a colleague who is driven, enthusiastic and adaptable to join our team. Being a flexible team-player is essential. Expertise in an area of special interest to complement those already available in the Department is welcome. We are committed to finding the right individual and supporting their career development in the long term. Weston-Super-Mare and its surroundings are a wonderful place to live, with beautiful countryside, easy access to Bristol, and direct train services to London, Taunton and Exeter.
The postholder will be an integral part of the General Paediatric service across Weston and Bristol, delivering the short-stay assessment and ambulatory care service at the Seashore Centre weeks as the named service consultant, as well as contributing to the General Paediatrics acute inpatient service in Bristol and the trust wide Safeguarding consultant service also based in Bristol.
Rapid access clinics and routine general paediatric clinics will be held mostly in Weston-Super-Mare. The postholder may be asked to deliver some clinics in Bristol to allow patients to access healthcare closer to home.
