Job description
Overview

A vacancy at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust for two Consultant Forensic Psychiatrists. The post is permanent or a secondment opportunity and will be based within the male medium secure and women’s blended services at The Riverside Centre. Post holders will act as Responsible Clinician for 12–16 male inpatients or 10–12 female inpatients, managing the caseload from admission to discharge.

Support & Team

You will be supported by a full and expanding multidisciplinary team, including a medical secretary, junior doctors, a clinical psychologist, a social worker, an occupational therapist, nursing colleagues, a visiting GP, dentist, and a well‑established physical health team.

Responsibilities
  • Inpatient management for assigned male or female inpatients.
  • On‑call work.
  • Access assessments to the service.
  • Additional activities negotiated with consultant colleagues in line with our new model of care.
