The candidate will oversee the management and development of neuropsychology services, mentor a team of psychologists, and drive quality care in line with national standards. This role requires HCPC registration and considerable experience with neurological conditions, offering an opportunity to impact community health positively.
A Vacancy at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
Investment in community neurorehabilitation services has enabled a reconfiguration of Clinical Psychology provision now spanning the Mid Notts & Bassetlaw area. This has led to an exciting opportunity for a new Consultant Clinical Psychologist post to lead the psychology input across two community neurorehabilitation teams. The role involves oversight of the neuropsychology service in both the Bassetlaw Long Term Neurological Conditions Team, which includes a stroke service, and the Mid Notts Community Neurology Team. You will lead a small team including two Clinical Psychology preceptorship posts and facilitate their professional development in Neuropsychology.
You will hold a specialist caseload of complex cases and work as part of multidisciplinary teams to provide consultation, training and professional guidance in psychological/neuropsychological care. Line management and supervision of colleagues in Clinical Psychology across the neurorehabilitation care pathway will also be part of the role. You will collaborate with the senior leadership team to enhance psychological understanding to support the wider system, including a stepped care model.
The post may be offered as an 8b‑8c development role depending on experience.
You must be a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and have substantive experience of working with people with neurological conditions. You will have undertaken postdoctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology and should have completed or be enrolled on the full Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology.
