A leading heart and lung hospital in Cambridge is looking for a Consultant Cardiothoracic Radiologist. The role involves maintaining high imaging standards, managing the Cardiothoracic Radiology Service, and teaching junior staff. Applicants need to be eligible for entry on the GMC Specialist Register and have other relevant qualifications. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic Radiology team at Royal Papworth Hospital and pursue a career as a Consultant Radiologist. Amongst other clinical services, we have a busy Thoracic Oncology service; TAVI, ACHD, Valve, Structural heart disease, Pulmonary Vascular Disease, Heart Muscle groups and lung defence & ILD groups. The Transplant, Critical care and advanced heart failure services are other vital areas of work at RPH where radiologists make a key contribution.
Maintenance of the highest clinical standards in imaging to support the management of cardiothoracic patients.
Share with colleagues the responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Cardiothoracic Radiology Service and the running of relevant MDTs.
Teaching and training of junior staff, Medical Students and Radiographers.
Actively participate in both departmental and Trust matters concerning clinical governance and audit.
Responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing medical education (CME).
