Job description

A Construction Studies Tutor is required for a good Alternative school in Newcastle area. You will deliver Construction Studies to Post 16 pupils of ages 16 to 19 who have SEMH needs. This is a full time role to start asap. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.

Responsibilities

• Has some tutoring experience (up to Level 2)
• Has worked within the construction sector
• Preferably some experience in plastering, bricklaying, DT & painting
• Have good classroom management skills
• Have a passion for teaching Construction studies
• Have excellent subject knowledge
• Be able to organise themselves
• Be able to plan effective, engaging Construction Studies lessons.

We are keen to hear from both experienced teachers or ECTs.
