Construction Lawyer – Contentious (75%) and non-contentious (25%) – 0-5 PQE

Position: Construction Solicitor – Associate or Senior Associate – Leeds

Join a growing construction team in Leeds. The role involves a mix of contentious (75%) and non-contentious (25%) work. The department handles a wide range of domestic and international projects for major contractors in the private sector, with some public sector work. While previous construction experience is preferred, candidates with a strong interest in construction and transferable skills are encouraged to apply.

About the Leeds construction team

This expanding team has recently welcomed a new Partner and is looking to grow further. Clients include major national contractors across sectors such as sports, leisure, public sector, and manufacturing. The work is predominantly contentious and can be complex and multi-jurisdictional. The team collaborates across its national and international offices, offering a variety of challenging and exciting instructions.

Candidate profile

Previous construction experience is advantageous but not essential. The firm values enthusiasm and interest in construction work. Candidates from 0 PQE upwards with backgrounds in litigation or transactional law, and strong academic records, are encouraged to apply.
