Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Construction Estimator to support Project Managers and the Sales Team, ensuring accurate pricing and excellent customer satisfaction. This is an exciting hybrid role, offering two days working from home and strong career development opportunities within a leading retail and shopfitting business.

Key Duties
  • Act as the main point of contact for Project Managers, Sales, and Site teams regarding pricing and estimating.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure quotations and pricing meet agreed deadlines.
  • Provide quotations and final accounts for enquiries from Sales, Project, and Site Managers.
  • Call off equipment from drawings and create Bills of Materials from Excel spreadsheets.
  • Discuss quotations with clients and Quantity Surveyors, providing feedback and additional information where required.
  • Maintain and update customer schedules of rates and ensure information is accurately stored.
  • Prepare and issue final accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best prices within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Minimum of five GCSEs (grades A-C) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
  • At least two years' experience in shopfitting, retail fit-out, or a similar environment.
  • Proven background in estimating, sales support, or customer service.
  • Strong IT skills with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent knowledge of costing and pricing processes.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and negotiation skills.
