- Salary: £43,300 per annum
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager. You will oversee building projects from inception to handover, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget. The role requires a creative, pragmatic, and forward-thinking individual with excellent organizational skills, attention to safety standards, and the ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage building projects from start to finish, including planning, design, and construction phases.
- Coordinate with team members to improve management processes.
- Procure construction works, support tender processes, and manage contracts.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and costs; report on remedial actions as needed.
- Prepare progress reports and manage project documentation.
- Lead meetings with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure health & safety compliance on-site, including RAMS and statutory requirements.
- Manage project schedules, staff hiring, and supervision.
- Forecast potential challenges and coordinate materials and methods to meet specifications.
Skills and Qualifications
- Membership in ICE, MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; postgraduate qualification in Project or Construction Management.
- At least 5 years of experience in building and project management.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Aster, etc.).
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of building regulations and design skills.
- Willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
- English language proficiency (B2 standard required for sponsorship applicants).
- DBS clearance, valid passport/ID, right to work.
