JOB VACANCY: Construction Project Manager (SOC Code: 2455)

Contract Details
  • Type: Permanent
  • Hours: 9am to 5pm (with a 30-minute unpaid break), 37.5 hrs per week
  • Place of Work: 59 Windsor Road, Tuebrook, Liverpool L13 8BA (Hybrid role with home-working opportunities)
  • Salary: £43,300 per annum
About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager. You will oversee building projects from inception to handover, ensuring successful delivery within scope, time, and budget. The role requires a creative, pragmatic, and forward-thinking individual with excellent organizational skills, attention to safety standards, and the ability to lead and coordinate teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage building projects from start to finish, including planning, design, and construction phases.
  2. Coordinate with team members to improve management processes.
  3. Procure construction works, support tender processes, and manage contracts.
  4. Monitor project progress, budgets, and costs; report on remedial actions as needed.
  5. Prepare progress reports and manage project documentation.
  6. Lead meetings with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  7. Ensure health & safety compliance on-site, including RAMS and statutory requirements.
  8. Manage project schedules, staff hiring, and supervision.
  9. Forecast potential challenges and coordinate materials and methods to meet specifications.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Membership in ICE, MRICS, MCIOB, or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
  • Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field; postgraduate qualification in Project or Construction Management.
  • At least 5 years of experience in building and project management.
  • Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Aster, etc.).
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of building regulations and design skills.
  • Willingness to undergo on-the-job training.
  • English language proficiency (B2 standard required for sponsorship applicants).
  • DBS clearance, valid passport/ID, right to work.
