Project Manager (Commercial Buildings) – Permanent

Based in Basingstoke (RG21 5PL), covering projects across Southern England

£60,000–£70,000 + Van OR £6,000 Car Allowance + Benefits

We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to join a well-established and growing contractor in the South East of England. With a strong order book and continued expansion, this role offers the chance to lead building refurbishment projects across rail and local authority frameworks, while helping to grow our building capability further.

If you’re enthusiastic, committed, and have a proven track record in building refurbishment (rail or non-residential), this is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career.

Responsibilities
  • Manage building projects from award to completion and financial settlement
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
  • Support in bidding for and securing new projects
  • Develop and grow project management and self-delivery capability
  • Lead the development of productivity norms to support project success
  • Manage Health & Safety Plans, Quality Plans, and Method Statements
  • Act as the key client interface, building strong external relationships
What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years’ experience in the Construction building sector
  • 2+ years in a project lead role
  • Proven track record of delivering successful Commercial Building projects
  • Construction related Degree (or equivalent)
  • Membership (or working towards) a relevant professional body
  • Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
  • Good knowledge of operational property refurbishment
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office and other project software
  • Full UK driving licence & willingness to travel across Southern England
