Overview

Join a dynamic team delivering a major greenfield development in Long Ashton, Bristol, for an American client establishing their UK headquarters. This long-term project, spanning 5–10 years across multiple phases, includes flagship office buildings, underground car parks, civil infrastructure, and utility structures. The project features complex construction elements such as piled walls, concrete basements, glulam timber frames, and cross-laminated timber (CLT) construction, alongside major civil works including drainage, infrastructure, and bridges.

Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Planner to join a Tier 2 contractor on this high-profile project. This role offers a mix of site-based work with some flexibility for remote working. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of the project through effective planning and coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain master, subcontractor, and breakout programmes
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with schedules
  • Interface with clients, providing regular updates and detailed reports
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure seamless delivery of complex build elements
  • Support the coordination of major civil packages, including drainage, infrastructure, and bridges
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Construction Planner on large-scale, complex projects
  • Familiarity with greenfield developments and multi-phase programmes
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, including piled walls, concrete basements, and timber frame construction
  • Excellent communication skills for client interfacing and reporting
  • Proficiency in planning software and tools
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a lean operational model
  • Experience with Tier 2 contractors is highly desirable
