Role Overview

As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of commercial office fit‑out projects valued between 1 million and 5 million. You will play a pivotal role in managing the day‑to‑day operations of the construction site, ensuring the projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.

We are looking for someone with a traditional construction background, who has a deep understanding of project management and experience working on large‑scale office fit‑out projects. Key Responsibilities

• Project Management: Lead and manage commercial office fit‑out projects from inception to completion, ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and manage on‑site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
• Site Supervision: Oversee day‑to‑day site operations, conducting regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.
• Budget & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track costs, and report on financial performance to ensure that projects are delivered within budget.
• Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the project, including schedule delays, safety concerns, and unforeseen costs.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with relevant regulations and specifications.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager with a focus on commercial office fit‑out projects.
• Experience managing projects with values ranging from 1 million to 5 million.
• Strong understanding of traditional construction methods and practices.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while ensuring attention to detail and quality.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• CSCS card, SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), and relevant qualifications in construction management.
• Proficient in project management software and MS Office.
• A commitment to health and safety, with a proactive approach to site safety and risk management.
